Back again

Wow, I realized that I never finished my post about how my trip in Paris was. When I am at home I barely find the time and need to express my feelings on the blog.
It's only when school starts that loneliness touches me, even though I am surrounded with friends.
Or maybe I am also trying to find a way to avoid thinking about the tests that are coming next week... eh. I don't want to talk about that.

So to reflect back, my trip to France and Germany was pretty nice. It's great to feel that one of your wishes is fulfilled (To go to Paris and Frankfurt). Hopefully many more will become true too...
like...
finding your pillar...
So many times the pillar is so high and unattainable. You'd feel hopeless again.
You wonder if you are just too much of an idealist.

Patience is fading,
But it would be disastrous
If it vanishes.
Better bottle up
the Longing
That takes you by the hand
And drags you down
The winding road
Called Hope.
And you keep strolling
and strolling,
Until,
You see another fog,
And not one shadow.
But don't call out,
Because it would be disastrous.

First week in Paris

Alright, it's gonna be hard to type on this iPod.
I'm sitting in my hotel room in Paris. Decent hotel, convenient and all. Located right in the Bastille area

So here are the highlights:

D1: visited l'Orangerie, a museum, and what u liked the most were the two oval rooms that displayed wall length Monet water lillies paintings.
After that I went to Notre-Dame and the exterior of Louvre. Crossed Pont-Neuf. Everything just wonderful.

D2: Musee d'Orsay. Spent almost 4 hours there taking notes while listening to my professor lecture but all the famous paintings made up for it. I'll post up all the pics! After that les Invalides, where Napoleon's tomb is. And then Eiffel Tower:). Dream come true right there. I wish I was a Parisian then I could lie on the grass in front of it to look at it all day. But tourists might start to bother me hah!

D3: musee de Picasso. A lot of his paintings and sculptures, but "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon" is in New York. :( after that , les Champs Elysees and the real Arc de Triomphe :) major shopping street indeed. Oh and before that, an Andy Warhol exhibition in les Grand Palais. I never knew he was so cool.

D4: Centre Pompidou. Spent almost the whole day on just 1 floor! Then it was lovely Montmartre with it's Sacre-Coeur. Extraordinaire view of Paris from there!

D5: Quai Branly. But that Jazz exhibition was just not that interesting, I'm sorry. After that my roommate
Left me to go to Lyon, so for the last 2 days I've been feeling as if I'm all by myself in Paris. Got out of my comfort zone and went to the musee Guimet by myself. Saw a lot of Asian art (cause I was getting sick of Primitivism). Funny story I've already 2 Asian art book so far LOL. Can't resist these cool French "libraiies". Then some people took me out with them to see the Eiffel Tower sparkling at every hour at nigt :) last time I saw that happenig was wheni was at home watchig fashion Tv lmao

D6: that means today. Went to Saint Germain blvd and had an espresso at Cafe Flore where famous existentialists went before includin Picasso and Camus. Then now I'm trying to write those
Darn essays so that I could go to Chartres tomorrow! But I have to read first.

That's it for the first week:) Paris has too many places to go and I don't have that much space in my camera :(
Cheers! I'm getting tired of typing on this thing >.<

Here I go again

Another day of walking
Down this path of Purpose.
Leaving with a sense of meaning,
But here I go again
Back to this empty room.

An afternoon filled with laughter
What more can be asked for?
Retrieving the sense of belonging,
But here I go again,
Back to this lonely alley.

Back to this reality
That locks these arms together.
Warming all hearts, the songstress amazes.
But here she goes again,
Back to the no man's land.

Personality Type

I just did this long quiz, and this is the short description they have of me -_-

Personality Type D: THE SUPPORTER
This person responds best to sincerity and agreement. The Supporter does not like controversy, and is likable, loyal andpatient. A pleasant approach will win you points with this personality type. Any sign of insensitivity or impatience will lose you the sale. The Supporter's office is friendly and neat. In most conversations, you will not be separated by a desk. Pictures of his/her family can be seen.

I agree to everything hahhaha.

scared

One word to describe this month: SCARY

I mean in terms of school.
All the subjects are hard, and next week I will have to do a stand-up mock interview in front of the whole communications class. I'm so scared right now. That's all I will be doing this weekend (besides chilling of course). Prepare for that mock-interview. oh and... yeah, I am literally failing in one class. Which one? of course is a science class.
Seems like B-school is all about preparing for your internship and job. Week after week I have to attend these career workshop which make me worry about my future: which career field should I ask an internship in etc... . There have been nights when I'm just online searching for what kind of path I would want to do, considering my situation and my family's situation.
But I since thinking about my family's preference just adds to my headaches, I feel like I will block out some of the things that I shouldn't think too much about and go with what I feel I would be best at, and perhaps my long-term goal (still kind of unclear right now)
So I have ruled out many things, which makes life a little easier right now.

And What We've all been waiting for: Valentines' Day is coming! Yay! not? lol!
Not the best time for the girls of 113. :(

Yeah... so because of the intensity of school I haven't been eating and sleeping properly. T.T they were right ! This IS the hardest semester i've ever had :( perhaps because of communications? omg :(

Hmm... Spring Break... because of this oh so wonderful economy, i'll be staying in ATL to visit. LOL Saving up for Paris if I ever get to go this summer :(

Cheers to all that will not be bored this V-day and cheers to all who are doing well in school! :)

Bolero

First of all, since I am so excited, I wanted to say that this morning I woke up at 6:30 and opened my e-mail to see that I have just been Finally admitted to the B-school. Yay!

Here I am posting a new song that I find beautiful.

Hope you like it ^^

A week before I go back to school and the hectic life.

so what should i do now...

So I'm sitting here thinking whether I should go to sleep or try to write 3 response papers, that means 3 pages, which also means that at this rate I will only have 2 lines by the time the sun rises ^^".
I'm guessing go to sleep? -_-.
but I can't be sleeping all day tomorrow. MY HEAD IS FULL OF DEADLINES .... Only time will save me now... At least looking back, I don't feel like I procrastinated... :)
to everyone: Only about a week left until winter break ! (oh shoot, that's actually really short). For my part, I am most worried about B-calc -_-. it always has to be the math class that's giving me trouble ... well, since college started.
What am I doing sitting here writing nonsense when I could be writing my response papers. I guess that takes more thinking -_-.
I feel bad for the readers ^^".
again good luck!

holiday fever

Blog entry? hm...
I just finished the Godfather, the book, and yes I must say I really liked it ^^. After I finished the book, I looked at the first page again, and saw this quote:
"Behind every great fortune is a crime" from Balzac. Makes you think A LOT. ^^"
But before that gotta go through 2 weeks of deadlines and finals. Just 2 short weeks, I can do it :) RIGHT?
Today's shopping got me into this holiday fever. Gotta stop and focus now, hehe.
First up: French Final on Monday!

pre-wedding

As I sit here waiting for my cousin the bride to get ready to go get her hair done and her makeup done for tonight's wedding, I get all worried about the 5-6 page French paper that is due on Monday morning... Obviously I won't be able to sit down and start writing until like 11PM tonight or something, and I have all day tomorrow...
All-nighter it is, tonight and maybe even tomorrow night. 2 all nighters in a row? omg i'm scared. I'm gonna sleep all day when I'll be back to Atlanta.

V-ball is over

Volleyball is now over. leaving me with a swollen hand and a messed up knee...
We lost this year, breaking the 6-year-in-a-row-championship-chain :( everyone was kind of sad, but that just makes us play with a better mentality next year. We were so stressed out this year...
But I will miss the twice a week practices... Now what am I going to look forward to each day?... :( I won't be going back to Aikido anytime soon, because of my thumb and knee.
that leaves me with having to study hard for B-school. go go ~~

cheers~
P.S. after the vball olympics, that night, i first experienced the state of drunkeness.

no more countdown

Ok so i just learned a ridiculous thing today. Apparently B school is always late with their decisions. so yeah, no point in counting down anymore. let it come whenever it wants and im not going to think about it.
I'm less stressed out now, and I am very surprised with myself that I feel totally fine and not really affected by the lack of sleep.
nothing really exciting to say...
im just gonna leave with some quotes from O-sensei:

"Do no fail
To learn from
The pure voice of an
Ever-flowing mountain stream
Splashing over the rocks."

"Always Keep Your Body filled with light and heat. Fill yourself with the power of wisdom and enlightenment."

Cheers.

D-2

Ok I kind of skipped a day, but here it is, what happened yesterday.
I ended up not making it to class this morning. Yes. i was in big trouble. But then I found a way out. I'll be coming back from my cousin's wedding and go to the last 2 class days before thanksgiving break, and go to my friend's house for thanksgiving. everything worked out, now i just gotta just my flight ticket, and not miss anymore classes... Everything happened so fast, but i kind of also thought that I haven't had a chance to hang out with my friend this year, so maybe we could use this thanskgiving break to bond :P. She's like one of my only viet friends at Emory.
The rest of the day was just boring cause I was panicking that I was going to get an F in PE.
Then comes the time to go to Wicked. Indeed it was just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I sooo love the songs from that musical <3. Defying Gravity <3 I wouldn't mind coming back next year to watch it again (let's hope they will have it again)
The show ended really late, and when I came back i realized that yeah... i havent' really done any homework for tomorrow. so I ended up not sleeping, (still haven't seen the sunrise though, hmm, hurry up sun) So i am sorry if I am not making sense. I'm not a person who don't get sleep... like.. i NEED sleep... I wonder how im gonna function tomorrow... probably not well as we can already tell from now :P
I've been starving all night though... I really can't wait until i can go get some breakfast... wow this post has been so long and boring...
It seems so cold out there..... brrr.
Oh I'm in the study lounge btw. it's pretty nice and quiet here. done with homework... What should I do now...
anyways writing non-stop like this is a good way to kill stress. 2 more days, 2 more days and i'll find out.

D-3

A post a day keeps the stress away ^^ (ok that was lame)
Trying to keep myself less stressed out because this is going to be a tough week for me and I wish I had prepared myself sooner, like during the weekend. But I will be posting everyday a lil bit about what happened during the day until the end of this week, Friday, which is when I hear the decision from B-school.
Woke up today 10 minutes before my first class started... ran to class and was 5 minutes late. oh my, when am i going to stop waking up late like that..? French class was good as usual, ended our short story "Rene" that is kind of depressing...
B-calc was like usual: the teacher going too fast making me always having to catch up, got my homework back with a pretty bad grade... but still better than the person next to me O.O
Chinese was nice as usual ^^. Actually doing better on the daily quizzes now, hurray!
After lunch I went to see my French teacher for my paper. It's funny, she keeps speaking Frenglish :P
Finally free and rested for a while. Did Chinese homework, painted a little, and went to visit Mary in Clairmont. Afterwards, straight to volleyball.
Couldn't get my hits in today... well at the beginning I couldn't, but then it was better... ahhhhh... gotta practice... >_<.
And now I just did some more painting... I have 2 paintings due on wednesday... aaaah I'm not gonna have much sleep>___<. But I'll be thinking of posting them up once they are done ^^. or maybe not?
Tomorrow I will be having my first tennis class. hopefully i will be out of my bed by the time the class starts :P. NO. I MUST.
And really lookin forward to WICKED! I'm going to see it with my roomie tomorrow <3. That will be pretty awesome :P I know like all the songs from that musical! hihi.
Anyways, have a good night!!! I'll write more tomorrow, hopefully with more interesting things, probably mostly about Wicked. hahaha
Cheers ;)

what's happening...

Lately it seems like my mind is somewhere else.
last week, on Wednesday, I lost my hoodie. I just lost it when i was walking to class, it slipped from my bag. seems almost impossible, but it did happen
And yesterday, I forgot to bring with me my phone, my keys, and my ipod, one after another each time i went out of my room. all three are things that I usually always have with me. Don't know what happened there either.
And last night's weird dream that included my friends and my stories from my high school.
What's going on?
I need to bring it back together as the week of hell starts now.
Friday 24th is the decisive day.

Realization

first thought: bright light. Never seen the sun shine so brightly on Emory.

Fragment of an Eye

Only you I want to see, still and for always
On rainy days I remember this single wish

In your heart I forgot
A fragment of myself
Is it still there?

Sleeping inside a closed book
Pandora's jewels called memories
Holding my breath, falteringly
Forever I was watching
"Here in the rain"

Yesterday I lamented the scattered petals
Seems little by little I am forgetting you

I am a fragment of you
That only wishes to return to your heart

My eyes that have fragmented
Are quartz broken in the shape of the crescent moon
You alone fill them with light
Forever I am waiting
"Here in the rain"

I only want to see you......

Sleeping inside a closed book
Pandora's jewels called memories
Holding my breath, falteringly
Forever I was watching

My eyes that have fragmented
Are quartz broken in the shape of the crescent moon
You alone fill them with light
Forever I am waiting
"Here in the rain"
Searching for the fragment
